WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

Purpose

Our goal is to:

Reach women with the life-changing gospel of trusting Jesus Christ as Savior

Build women to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ as they become prayer warriors who study the Bible and base their entire lives on the Word of God

Involve women by helping them discover their God-given gifts for ministry while they learn to use their gifts to meet the unique needs of women and their families within the church and community

Events and Groups

Women's Fellowship – This is a worship, study and fellowship opportunity for all women whenever they are able to attend. Women’s Fellowship meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays 6:45-8:30PM in the worship center during the fall and spring semesters. Exact dates or any changes are announced in the weekly bulletin.

Women’s Bible Studies are held periodically on various books of the Bible or other topics. Contact the church office for details on any current studies.

Women’s mentoring – This ministry consists of small groups led by 2 older mentors and 4-5 younger women. Groups are formed or else resume each fall. Mentoring groups promote spiritual growth through mentoring, encouragement, friendship, prayer and Bible study. Most groups meet twice a month.

Women's retreats and conferences – Open Door either plans and hosts our own events or else encourages and organizes women to travel to other special women’s events.

Baby Showers are offered to women having their first baby.

Hospitality Committees involve women (and some men) as part of the Adult Bible Fellowship ministry. These teams work together to plan and serve at four yearly all-church social activities (Palm Sunday Breakfast, Ice Cream Social in July, Corn Roast in August and our Thanksgiving Dinner)

The Meals Ministry provides meals in the home for those who have a need due to a birth, death, illness or surgery. This is mostly coordinated through our Adult Bible Fellowship ministry.
